Flip-up armrests and detachable footrests
This is the feature most buyers overlook and most caregivers end up relying on daily.
The PU-padded armrests flip up and the footrests detach, which clears the side of the chair completely. That turns a transfer from bed to chair, or chair to car seat, into a sideways slide rather than a lift over an obstacle. On Indian roads
The steel frame and 12-inch solid rear wheels handle what most users actually encounter: tiled floors, building corridors, colony lanes, and paved footpaths.
The 4-inch front castors are the limiting factor outdoors. Small castors handle smooth surfaces well and turn tightly – good for indoor use – but they catch on broken footpaths, loose gravel and unpaved ground. If that is the daily route, choose a chair with larger front wheels.
